Lift the RAD Cap Coalition

“Lift the RAD Cap Coalition” is a ‘grass roots coalition’ that makes preservation of affordable housing a RADical priority.

Overview

The Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) allows proven financing tools to be applied to public and assisted housing. RAD allows Public Housing properties to convert to long-term Section 8 rental assistance contracts.

RAD is a central part of HUD’s rental housing preservation strategy, which works to preserve the nation’s stock of deeply affordable rental housing, promote efficiency within and among HUD programs, and build strong, stable communities.

Lift the RAD Cap Coalition is a group of concerned individuals, businesses, and housing authorities across the country that have an interest in preserving affordable housing. For more details on how you can get involved in the coalition or for information on the economic impact lifting the RAD cap will have on jobs and leveraging private investment, please fill out the “Join the Coalition” form below.
